Wilmington Business Journal

Wilmington Business Journal - July 2026

I’m honored to be featured on the cover of the July issue of the Greater Wilmington Business Journal! The article explores the growing need for stronger support for Wilmington’s arts community, including more affordable creative spaces, better coordination among local arts organizations, and greater recognition of the arts as an important part of the region’s culture and identity.

Drawing from my own journey from interior designer to full-time artist, I shared the importance of cultivating a culture that intentionally supports local creatives—whether through purchasing local artwork, investing in artists, or creating opportunities for artists to thrive professionally. The feature highlights both the economic impact of the arts in our region and the collective vision of artists who believe Wilmington has the talent and potential to become an even stronger arts destination.

I was proud to share my perspective as a local artist and business owner, discussing both the opportunities and challenges of building a creative career in Wilmington and the importance of investing in a thriving arts community.

I had a blast at the photo shoot with my friend Daisy Barbour.  Her abstract art looks so perfect next to mine on the studio wall.
