Italian Summer
We're back! It was our first family vacation abroad, but it won't be our last!
I'll admit, I did take a sketch book but never cracked it. Our family was on the move so much that it made it difficult to have time to draw or paint. Here are some of the highlights of our time there.
Rome: The Colosseum & Hiking St. Peter's Dome, and the private golf cart tour of the city at night
Cinque Terre: hiking and kayaking from Monterosso to Vernazza, seeing an octopus in the wild, and jumping off rocks in Manarola
Elba: the Cabinova Monte Capanne (a chair lift that takes you to the top of the island ~3000ft up), scuba diving to see the Elviscot shipwreck in Pomonte beach, and the amazing breakfast buffets at our hotel.
